- Theme: The Meaning of Digital Education in Schooling in the Age of AI

The Convergence Education Research Institute at KNUE hosted the Digital Seed Academic Conference on March 30, 2024, under the theme “The Meaning of Digital Education in Schooling in the Age of AI.” The conference brought together six presenters and discussants, with the active participation of over 61 pre-service teachers and 30 in-service teachers, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. The event began with a keynote address by Prof. Hyun-Jong Choi (KNUE) titled “The Role of Education in the Age of AI and Digital Transformation.” This was followed by three thematic sessions:
- Seo-eun Lim (Dooncheon Elementary School, Gyeonggi-do) — Beyond the Classroom: Digital Education for Environmental Learning
- Woo-young Jung (Dajeong Elementary School, Sejong) — Developing AI-Based Arts Education Programs
- Jung-ho Park (Principal Researcher, Podi Math & Science Creativity Institute) — Developing Programs that Bridge Analog and Digital Worlds
In closing remarks, Prof. Seoung-Hey Paik emphasized that the 2024 Digital Seed Project at KNUE carries significant value in narrowing the digital education gap and in strengthening teachers’ competencies in digital-based teaching and learning.
